Rooted in Care, Guided by Principle

We formed Saka because we believed inheritance matters deserve steady, considerate attention — not a hurried process.

Our Story

How Saka Came to Be

Saka started from a straightforward observation: families in Malaysia facing inheritance matters often encountered legal processes that felt impersonal and rushed — exactly when they needed the opposite.

Founded in Kuala Lumpur, Saka was built to offer a different kind of advisory — one where clients are heard before any paperwork begins, where the pace is set by the family rather than the firm, and where plain-language explanations replace legal complexity.

The name Saka carries the meaning of continuity and lineage — fitting for a practice that works at the point where one generation hands responsibility to the next.

Our focus covers three interconnected areas: Faraid distribution advisory for Muslim estates, estate administration support for families navigating the administrative process, and assistance with letters of administration where no will has been left.

We operate from Bukit Ceylon, Kuala Lumpur, with experience across civil and Syariah estate matters. Our approach is the same across all cases — attentive, honest, and unhurried.

Saka is not a large firm by design. Our size allows us to give each matter the attention it deserves without the delays of a heavily managed process.

Inheritance Law Advisory in Kuala Lumpur

Navigating inheritance law in Malaysia involves two distinct frameworks — the civil law system governing non-Muslim estates through the Distribution Act 1958 and Probate and Administration Act 1959, and the Faraid system governing Muslim estate distribution under Islamic jurisprudence applied by Syariah courts and authorities. Saka works across both, providing families with coherent guidance regardless of their situation.

Estate administration in Malaysia typically begins with identifying and valuing the deceased's assets, settling debts and liabilities, obtaining the appropriate court order (either a grant of probate where a will exists, or letters of administration where it does not), and then distributing the estate to beneficiaries. Each stage involves specific documentation and institutional liaison that can feel burdensome to families managing grief.

Our role is to carry as much of that administrative weight as we appropriately can, keeping families informed without overwhelming them. We explain what each document means, what each step requires, and where decisions genuinely rest with the family rather than with us.

Located at Jalan Bukit Ceylon in central Kuala Lumpur, Saka is accessible to families across the Klang Valley and reachable by phone or video consultation for those based further afield in Malaysia.
